ramblingsofayoungman:

One of my favorite OTPs. I love that Rogue is the heavy muscle when it comes to fighting and doesn’t put up with any of Remy’s crap. She is the only character strong enough to handle Gambit. It is such a shame they made her so weak in the movies. And I love that Gambit is the brains of their heists (which usually don’t work out). It puts a spin on the dumb strong guy/smart weak girl stereotype. Plus the fact that Gambit is willing to put down his rather long playboy past for a woman he can’t be physical with shows how much he loves Rogue. And the fact that Rogue can overlook his terrible relationship past and be emotionally vulnerable with him shows how much she loves him.

I also love that neither of their characters are defined by their relationship. Both have solo arcs and go off on their own. They have their own adventures but also come together. Rogue doesn’t need Gambit to have a good story arc. Gambit doesn’t need  Rogue to have a good story arc. They’re just great together, the southern belle and the ragin’ Cajun.

Thank you!

Reblog if you’re a girl that likes any of the following:

gallifreyan-pizza:

  • X-Men
  • Avengers (that includes any of the individual characters movies)
  • Batman
  • Star Trek
  • Star Wars
  • And pretty much anything that’s action or targeted to guys

A guy friend of mine today said it was weird that my friend had all the X-Men movies because she was a girl. Needless to say we almost threw him out of the car. So I would like to prove to him that just because we have vagina’s that doesn’t impair us from enjoying an action film.
